# Power & Mounting

Learn the power requirements and mounting options for the ALPON X4. Ensure stable operation in industrial environments.

/* ════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════
   ALPON X4 · Power & Mounting (v3 — full design refresh)
   Built strictly to sixfab-docs-design-language.md + DESIGN.md.

Visual parity with the ALPON X5 AI Power & Mounting page is intentional:
the two devices belong to the same product family, so the page structure,
typography, callouts, mount cards, step lists, and quick-grid mirror
   alpon-x5-ai-power-mounting.html exactly.

Tier mapping (per project instructions §3):
   - Default surface : Tier 1 (Sixfab Teal anchor) — Hardware page
   - Meta pill : Tier 3 ALPON Cyan (.sf-meta__badge--alpon-x4) — device
identity. ALPON Cyan is X4's end-of-gradient anchor.
   - AEO block : default sf-aeo (Tier 1) — Hardware page, not Overview
   - Step list / CTA : default --primary (Sixfab Teal numbered circles)
   - Callouts : Tier 5 semantic only (info / success / warning / danger)

AI Iris NOT used. Per §3 / §11: "ALPON X4 carries no AI Iris. No
   sf-step-list--ai, no sf-card--ai, no sf-aeo--ai, no sf-hero--ai on X4
pages." Where the X5 AI page uses --ai variants, X4 uses --primary.

   What differs from X5 AI: CM4 (not CM5), 9–30 V DC (not 12–32 V), 27 W max
   (not 45.5 W), ETH/G port (not ETHERNET 0), USB 2.0 (not USB 3.0), HDMI
   display + programmable RGB LED, 111.16 × 99.9 × 33 mm enclosure, no NPU,
no PCIe / NVMe / MIPI camera, and the meta badge colour: ALPON Cyan
(gradient end) instead of ALPON Purple (gradient start).

The <strong>ALPON X4</strong> uses one power input at a time:
      USB Type-C PD (<strong>15&nbsp;V / 1.8&nbsp;A, 27&nbsp;W</strong>),
      a 3-pin DC terminal (<strong>9&ndash;30&nbsp;V rated; 12&ndash;30&nbsp;V

The enclosure supports wall and 35&nbsp;mm DIN rail mounting through
