Overview
ALPON X5 AI Edge AI Computer
The ALPON X5 AI is an industrial edge AI computer built for real-time, on-device inference in the field. It pairs a 25 TOPS DEEPX DX-M1 neural accelerator with a Raspberry Pi CM5 host, multi-network connectivity (LTE, Wi-Fi, dual Gigabit Ethernet), and the ALPON Cloud platform for fleet management.
The ALPON X5 AI is Sixfab's industrial edge AI computer for production deployments. It combines a 25 TOPS DEEPX DX-M1 NPU, Cortex-A76 host CPU at 2.4 GHz, NVMe SSD support, and always-online connectivity (Ethernet, Wi-Fi, LTE Cat 4 with eSIM) in a fanless aluminum enclosure rated from -20 °C to +60 °C. It runs ALPON X5 AI OS with the DEEPX runtime preinstalled and is managed centrally through ALPON Cloud.
Why ALPON X5 AI
Most edge AI hardware ships with strong silicon and weak operations: no built-in connectivity, no fleet management, no plan for the day a device goes offline at a remote site. The ALPON X5 AI closes that gap. The 25 TOPS DEEPX NPU runs your inference workloads locally; the integrated LTE, Wi-Fi, and dual Ethernet keep the device reachable; and ALPON Cloud handles onboarding, OTA updates, and remote access for the entire fleet.
For teams comparing this device against an NVIDIA Jetson box PC or a generic AI mini PC: cellular connectivity, eSIM, TPM 2.0, and the cloud platform are included by default, not sold as add-ons.
Key capabilities
25 TOPS dedicated AI acceleration
DEEPX DX-M1 Ultra (M.2 2280) delivers 25 TOPS of INT8 inference on a dedicated NPU with 4 GB of on-chip memory. The accelerator does not share system RAM, so AI workloads do not contend with the host CPU.
Raspberry Pi CM5 host platform
Broadcom BCM2712 quad-core Cortex-A76 SoC at 2.4 GHz, paired with up to 16 GB of LPDDR4 ECC memory and NVMe SSD storage. Production-grade compute for the host workloads alongside AI inference.
Always-online multi-network connectivity
Dual Gigabit Ethernet, dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 / 5 GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, and global LTE Cat 4 with eSIM. Automatic failover keeps the device reachable when any one network path drops.
Hardware root of trust
Infineon SLB 9670VQ2.0 TPM 2.0 module with hardware watchdog, TLS-encrypted diagnostics, USB lockdown, and VPN-tunneled remote access. Security is designed in, not bolted on.
Industrial I/O for vision and sensors
2× USB 3.0, 4-lane MIPI camera interface (DSI/CSI over mini HDMI), HDMI 2.0 at 4Kp60, and an RJ45 GPIO breakout exposing I2C, UART, SPI, 5V, and GND for sensors and add-on modules.
Container-native deployment
Ships with the DEEPX runtime preinstalled on the host. Push arm64 Docker workloads from ALPON Cloud to a single device or your entire fleet, with versioning and rollback.

Common use cases
Workloads where the ALPON X5 AI is deployed in production.
Every ALPON X5 AI device is paired with ALPON Cloud for zero-touch onboarding, fleet inventory, real-time monitoring, OTA updates, and remote terminal access. The cloud platform is the same one used by ALPON X4 fleets, so you learn it once and use it for both.
If you do not need on-device AI inference, the ALPON X4 is the cost-effective option for IoT gateway and telemetry workloads. For a side-by-side spec comparison, see Compare ALPON Devices.
